Critical Raw Materials Exploration at Mhyner

Beyond consulting – our own projects in strategic raw material exploration, with a focus on helium and lithium.

In addition to our consulting and technical services, Mhyner is actively engaged in the exploration of critical raw materials. Our internal R&D and strategic projects focus on helium and lithium – two resources that are essential to the global energy transition, high-tech industries, and long-term energy security. We conduct field investigations, geochemical sampling, and geological modelling to identify and develop new domestic sources of these valuable elements.

Our ongoing work includes early-stage helium soil gas surveys and lithium potential assessments in sedimentary basins. These projects reflect our long-term commitment to responsible resource development and innovation in geoscience.

We are conducting helium soil gas surveys in sedimentary basins with the goal of identifying natural helium occurrences in the subsurface. Our approach combines geochemical sampling, structural geological analysis, and laboratory gas chromatography to detect and evaluate helium anomalies. These early-stage investigations may pave the way for future strategic helium production in Central Europe.

We are exploring lithium extraction from deep formation waters as part of integrated geothermal systems. This innovative approach aims to combine renewable energy production with critical raw material recovery. Our focus is on sedimentary basin settings with geothermal potential, where lithium-rich brines may be tapped through doublet systems or production-injection cycles.
